Alana is Chief Operating Officer for the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation (CLSFF) and is responsible for the overall coordination of the administrative systems, grantmaking activities and program delivery for the Foundation offices in Tulsa and Washington, DC, and for the Schusterman affiliated philanthropic entities in Jerusalem: the Schusterman Foundation – Israel and ROI Community. Alana is also responsible for synchronizing the message of the network, ensuring that its mission and vision are appropriately communicated to grantseekers and grantmakers alike.
Alana joined the CLSFF in 1998 with a background of 14 years in higher education where her positions included special programs administration and marketing at private and public universities. She attended the University of Tulsa and has served as a board member of the Tulsa Women’s Foundation, the Tulsa Historical Society, the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics Foundation, and two local soccer organizations. She is a graduate of Leadership Tulsa Class 29 and a past president of Tulsa Funders Roundtable as well as Grantmakers of Oklahoma, each representing a consortium of private and corporate philanthropic organizations.
Her current board service includes the Oklahoma Conference for Community and Justice (OCCJ) and the Tulsa Community College Foundation. She also serves as chair of the Education Advocacy Task Force of the Tulsa Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and is board president for Youth Services of Tulsa.
